Strategic leader for the Reno team and site, which is one of three fulfillment centers in Zulily’s US distribution network, and can employ up to 1,200 employees, depending on seasonality. Provides executive support and operational excellence focus for the 50+ salaried team members on site. Key initiatives include developing Reno as a flagship for continuous improvement activities within the broader Qurate Network (QVC, HSN and Zulily). Expansion of leadership excellence and focus on development of exempt and non-exempt leaders. Relentless improvement on KPI goals and initiatives to control cost and provide an excellent customer experience.

Work in partnership with the General Manager for oversight of operations and support teams in the Reno, Nevada Fulfillment Center. Responsibilities include executive leadership support for all on-site employees, budgetary oversight for expenses, guidance for employee support activities and direction for business related endeavors for 1000+ on-site employees. Key initiatives include promotion of continuous improvement activities and initiatives (Lean Process), development of strategy for on-site Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), focused leadership development for executive team and the development and implementation of a change management process that is currently the adopted standard throughout the zulily fulfillment network.

Oversight of facility operations for the 770,000 square foot Reno, Nevada fulfillment center. Provide leadership in tandem with the Operations team to support all technical activities to move product through the facility with high levels of accuracy and efficiency.Develop plans and execute projects to enhance facility capabilities to meet the needs of the zulily customer base.

Oversight of all facilities related projects and tasks. Including management of operating and capital budgets, vendor management and project management. In addition to my facility responsibilities I oversee all of the technical staff who service and maintain the production lines throughout the facility. My duties include Lean Manufacturing principles including: total plant maintenance, key performance indicators, preventative maintenance, 5S, daily action meetings, visual management and additional related activities.Participated on local and regional teams supporting facility and sustainability needs. In 2012-2013 I acted as project manager for the Water Recovery and Reuse Project. The project was budgeted at $2 million and is a unique water reuse project in the San Joaquin Valley. It is an award winning project and is by all accounts, a success in showing the Grundfos commitment to sustainability.
