Digital Press/Prepress RoleResponsible for HP Indigo Digital press department. Duties include operation and maintaining HP Indigo, scheduling of digital print jobs, proofs and press checks. Maintain consumable inventory of the digital print department and prepping jobs for print. Troubleshooting and perform repairs of digital press, CTP system and other pre-press equipment when necessary. IT roleManage and maintain network & technology company wide including Email, FTP, Web as well as file servers and network printers. Provide computer software/hardware and desktop support. Manage contracts with telcom\internet providers and implement and maintain VoIP phone system.

Responsible for implementation and management of technology for a large commercial printer. Duties included troubleshooting and customer education on prepress\printing related topics. Managed and maintained Creo computer to plate systems, Xerox digital printing systems, Indigo E-Print digital color presses. Handled installation of prepress workstations and servers as well as software installation and support on all the major graphic applications.

Responsible creating job orders from external customers and account managers requests. This included confirming product specifications, creating schedules, estimating paper and production times as well as coordinating buyouts. Acted as liaison with all production departments to ensure deadlines were met.

Worked on production of 3 newspapers 2 daily and 1 bi weekly. (Gilroy Dispatch, Morgan Hill Times & Hollister Freelance). Operated vertical cameras, film processors, and platemaking equipment.

Worked in all aspects of the business including: Vertical Camera, Film Prep (Stripper), Plate Maker, Machine Repair and Maintenance, Shipping and Receiving, Delivery, Bindery Machine Operator including: Shear Cutter, Folder, Collator and Stitcher.

Installation of structured wiring for data networks and voice systems, audio-visual services, fire alarm systems & educational systems.
