Greg Hallen leads the Food, Environment and Health program at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada. Greg joined IDRC in 2009 to manage the former Research for International Tobacco Control program (RITC) and later, the Non-Communicable Disease Prevention program. Previously, Greg was the Chief Executive Officer of the National Heart Foundation in Australia’s Northern Territory. He also spent five years with the World Health Organization in Cambodia, where he contributed to the advancement of tobacco control research and policy there and with others in Southeast Asia. Greg’s public health experience has primarily been in tobacco control and public health nutrition. He has a Bachelor of Science, Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics and a Graduate Diploma of Education.
