Contracted as a Lay Member of the Regulatory Tribunal to determine interim measures, disciplinary and registration cases, as well as appeals, for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Protecting the public from poor practice and upholding the reputation of the profession and the public interest more widely.

Head of Intelligence for UK’s new default deployable war-fighting headquarters; created the job and branch from scratch, taking it through its first full-scale exercise and institutionalising the lessons identified.

Responsible for the safe and efficient outputs of this national institution, including RAF officer training and maintaining safe airfields for flying training; focal point for local engagement; 2300 military personnel, civil servants and contractors on site at total annual cost of ~£90M per year.

Responsible for many standalone research projects, particularly around Defence lessons; significant experience of 'red teaming' MOD policy development and in operational headquarters; attachments to MOD military strategic planning cell during 'Arab Spring' and to an Indian think-tank.

Liaison Officer between UK National Contingent Commander (the senior British military officer in Afghanistan) and HM Embassy.

Responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of the ballistic missile warning and space surveillance services, nationally critical to both the UK and the US; 380 military, police, civil service and contractor staff on site; total cost ~£20M per year, with ~£10M budget under direct control; responsible for RAF regional engagement in the Yorkshire coast.
