After graduating from the university of Technology Sydney, I worked in IT for several years. In 2001 I took a sea change that lead me to the Komodo National Park. Developing a business in this remote and growing destination had several unique challenges in itself. This journey has given me varied experience in Dive Centre Management, guest relations, marketing, team building, boat building, mechanical troubleshooting and much more. In addition to the dive centre i worked closely with NGO's and government officials on policy development, awareness raising, community outreach and much more with a view to the environmental challenges faced in this remote region. Finally I was the founding head of the Komodo Dive Operators Association. An industry based body to enhance cooperation and standards development for the Komodo diving industry.
