Responsible for the day-to-day Accounting and Financial controls and performance for the Total MSP Staffing group consisting of 3 distinct business entities, Staffency, TotalTek, and RapidStaff. The role is responsible for weekly payroll administration, P&L and Balance Sheet Reporting, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Month, Quarter, and Year end closing and reporting, and Tax management. The Controller also has a direct relationship with the company's outside audit firm. Two Staff Accountants report to the Controller and the position has high visibility with the Executive Management Team.

Position is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for Shopko's Retail business, currently encompassing 360 locations and more than $3.0 Billion in sales. Financial responsibilities for this position include Annual budgeting process, monthly and annual forecasting and analysis, month end closing processes and balance sheet reconciliation function with an emphasis on expense control. All store facility repairs and services are managed by this role including service provider contract negotiation and administration of Service Channel work platform. This role is also responsible for the Inventory and Shrink analysis team and is directly responsible for the budgeting, planning, forecasting, and tracking of all Capital projects ($80M annually) for Shopko including New Store growth, remodels, facility and IT upgrades, and Merchant/Sales enhancing projects in the stores including the preparation for all projects for Executive Committee review. Additionally, this role manages 4 Financial Analysts, 2 Financial Managers, and an Inventory Manager which has a team of 3 additional analysts.

In addition to managing a team of five individuals, (2 Financial Managers, 2 Facility Analysts, and one Construction Analyst), position is responsible for the budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of all Capital and Expense projects throughout the Shopko Chain of stores (135 Shopko, 185 Hometown, 17 Express locations) encompassing more than 3.6B in Capital and Expense funds. Department also coordinates, plans, and implements the budgeting process for all store expenses for each family of business (Main Store, Rx, and Optical) as well as the Shopko Optical Lab which manufactures lenses for all glasses ordered by our customers. The team also heads up, schedules, and tracks all facility repairs in the stores and Corporate Office locations.

Also responsible for the Budgeting, forecasting, and planning for Shopko's Optical Manufacturing Lab ($80.0M) which manufactures and processes the lens orders for all pairs of glasses sold to Shopko Optical customers. Lab contains a Free-Form lens manufacturing area as well as UV Teflon coating lab used in lens tinting process.
