Greg Hewitt is the Executive Director of Innovation for Cone Health in Greensboro, NC., with a Masters Degree in Design Management from Savannah College of Art & Design. Over the past 20 years, Greg has led research and innovation with fortune 500 companies in consumer packaged goods, food & beverage, sports & entertainment, and pharmaceuticals across the United States, Asia, Europe, and South America. Six years ago, Greg turned his attention to the healthcare industry as a new target to channel his perpetual dissatisfaction with the status quo and desire to humanize brands. Over the past six years, his team's focus at Cone Health has been building an organizational human-centered design reflex to transform services, programs, facilities, and digital tools. Additionally, Greg has embedded a new capability in the organization called Cone Health Ventures. Cone Health Ventures builds partnerships that generate a clinical/operational return and captures the otherwise lost value that Cone Health brings to the growth of early-stage companies through equity participation in their business. Greg and his team have helped leaders develop new services for staff and patients, rethink how patients receive care, step into new business adjacencies, build new facilities, and partnered in transforming system-wide strategic plans. When Greg is not working, he's a dad, cook, toilet fixer, baseball coach, golfer, guitar player, and wood worker.
