Full-stack JavaScript/HTML/CSS architect/developer for myRollCall’s web-based SaaS application which allows non-profits and fundraising groups to easily set up events, sell tickets, collect donations, and engage their donors. Starting with no knowledge, our team of three built a fully-functional web app based on the MEAN stack (MySQL, Express, Angular, Node) in four months. I became acting CTO when the previous CTO left. I was active in business decisions in addition to continuing my development and architecture work.

TensErgo is a health and wellness product company dedicated to helping treat aches and pains in a safe, effective, and affordable way through a line of myofascial release and Yoga products. As a co-founder I was involved with all aspects of the business, but primarily with website development and maintenance, and manufacturing. I sold my share of the business in 2017.

Waterloo Springs was founded to help create self-sustaining ecosystems to continually better the lives of those in need. Our first product is the Hydro Hauler rolling water can.

As an early employee, led the design and implementation of the GUI (Graphical User Interface), CLI (Command-Line Interface), and Java-based server software of Anue’s Net Tool Optimizer (NTO) product line for optimizing the flow of network traffic to monitoring tools. Provided technical oversight to approximately 30 software developers. Anue Systems was purchased by Ixia Communications in June 2012, largely based on the success of the NTO.

Designed and developed web-based user interfaces and application logic for the National Transcript Center.

As the 1st employee, led a team of 5 developers in the creation of a web-based service to enable the legal industry to quickly load and review thousands of electronic documents for case relevance, confidentiality, and privilege.

As the 2nd employee, responsible for development of client applications for content management. Helped design the client/server communications protocol. Led teams of up to 10 programmers at various times. Developed a library of reusable GUI components to ensure a common look-and-feel across all Vignette applications and to simplify GUI development. Developed utilities for automated code generation. Led the redesign of Vignette’s configuration management system for better usability and maintainability. Vignette went public in February 1999 at a valuation of $1B and at it's peak grew to 2500 employees.

Early employee and member of the system management group. Developed user interfaces for common system administration tasks such as user management, file system and disk management, and software installation. Sole designer/developer of Hal’s MIME-compliant (Multi-Purpose Internet Mail Extensions) graphical email client. Developed X11/Motif code using C++ on seven Unix platforms. Eventually purchased the rights to the email client from the company and sold it over the internet. Developed a library of reusable GUI components used company-wide to ensure a common look-and-feel and to simplify Motif development. Hal was sold to Fujitsu in November 1993.
