Greg is an independent consultant, a professional project and management advisor in Sydney.In this capacity, Greg led Forgacs Engineering during the build of the third Air Warfare Destroyer and build and delivery of a Landing Craft for Tonga; bid and won the design and build of the next generation of Sydney ferries for Transport for NSW; and supported the winning tender for the Canadian Harry DeWolf-class offshore patrol vessels and Joint Support Ship Project in-service support contracts amongst others.Greg has also advised companies including Thales, Broadspectrum, Ventia, Birdon, Incat Crowther and Wilhelmsen.Greg was previously the Managing Director of Serco Defence, the largest OEM independent systems maritime services provider in the Defence, Customs, Police and paramilitary markets in the region. At this time the business comprised more than 800 employees across the sector and revenues totalled around $500m. Contracts covered Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific, South East Asia and the Middle East. In this role, Greg ultimately led the design and delivery of many ships to the Royal Australian Navy including submarine support vessels Besant and Stoker. Greg signed the contracts for the build of the training vessels MV Sycamore.Previously he was the CEO of DMS Maritime - the leading maritime services company in Australia at the time with more than 450 staff and a turnover of more than $200m. The DMS fleet numbered almost 600 vessels. In this role Greg led maritime services, in service support and new ship build programs.Prior to joining DMS, Greg was a General Manager at Tenix Defence Systems (now BAE Systems) leading Strategy, Operations and Business Development, where he successfully undertook a number of acquisitions and secured and delivered multi-million-dollar project opportunities. Greg also spent time as the General Manager leading the ANZAC Alliance, established between Tenix, Saab Systems and the Commonwealth to conduct upgrades to the ANZAC frigates.
