Assist and Augment the Primary SWIC as the central coordination point for the State of Florida. The Statewide Interoperability Coordinator (SWIC) plays a critical role in a state’s interoperability effort. The SWIC works with emergency response leaders across all levels of government to implement a statewide strategic vision for interoperability. As part of this effort, the SWIC is responsible for the implementation of the Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan (SCIP), which establishes a vision for interoperability in the state.

In concert with the State Co-chair provide local entity perspective through the coordination of the State Working Group Interoperable Communications Committee (SWG-ICC) objectives. The SWG-ICC is established and chartered under the Florida Domestic Security Oversight Council (DSOC).

This included the Communications Installation Technician, Communications Maintenance Supervisor, Telecommunications Supervisor/Communications Center Supervisor as well as the Information Technologies Manager. Responsibilities included conventional and trunking radio communications, 911 management, telecommunications systems and infrastructure, and duties as part of the senior management team for countywide technologies.
