Provided MSSQL database experience in a variety of applications. One (small law firm) involved transforming a legacy MS Access environment to MS SQL 2016, via MS Visual Studio transformation tools. Proceeded to link this new database to their existing web portal for data entry and retrieval.Additionally, I used my SQL background to migrate databases for large public internet forums, in order for them to use the updated security and functionality of newer solutions. Despite never having seen this data before, I quickly mapped the PHP/MySQL database structures, and constructed queries that were used to archive the contents. We then migrated that data to a new, previously incompatible database structure using my code.Used my experience with the MS Office Suite to setup a MS Exchange service for a small accounting firm to be able to host their emails locally. I also trained the staff on how to administer email access and security going forward. Furthermore, they possessed several intricate MS Excel workbooks that needed to be updated. My task was to alter and often rewrite extensive VBA macros and links that interconnected and formatted them. I was successful, relying on my years of doing the same in my past retail IT environment.Assisted a professional photo retoucher on freelance projects. Using Adobe Photoshop, this involved the detailed/full restoration of vintage scanned photos that were damaged by age and elements. Despite not having a formal graphic design background, I learned quickly on how to accomplish that taks.

• Worked closely with retail buyers and planners, inventory control, distribution center, finance, customer service departments, and store managers on solving Aptos application issues, difficulties, and assisting in ad-hoc report and query requests.• Ensured data flow, integrity, and balancing among Retail transactional and reporting databases, Stock Ledger, Warehouse Distribution, Sales Audit, Commissions, and EDI transmissions.• Provided assistance to Point of Sale team in resolving all POS-related issues that originated with data flow, pricing, or network issues.• Worked closely with our software vendor to successfully install, test, and implement the upgrade of the retail suite from STS R12 to Connected Retailer 3.0, then 4.2, and finally 4.3. Periodic hotfixes were requested, tested, and applied.• Created and managed SSIS jobs for the automation of 3rd party transmissions of vouchers, taxes, store traffic, loyalty usage, enhancement of Aptos pipeline monitoring, POS communication server alerts, and financial fraud alerts.• Training of system analysts/administrator on tasks such as user creation, troubleshooting data feed errors, retail application errors, and management of data transmission with 3rd parties.• Due to Aptos Environment limiting stock ledger data to the “retail calendar,” I created a supplementary stock ledger based on the corporate fiscal calendar, built on SQL custom-developed code.• Developed, coordinated, and implemented the methodology, programming, testing for DKI website front end with omnichannel partners (GSI Ebay, Salesforce Demandware). Setup data transfers, a system of maintaining custom style attributes, and passing of changes in styles, prices, and shipments.• Provided structure of merchandising (style, location, hierarchy, pricing, history), sales audit, traffic, and open to buy Aptos-based data for creation of Cognos BI data warehouse. Also designed the SSIS data transformation packages that populated the data warehouse.
