I currently work in building relationships in the fields of peace, culture and education with like-minded organisations and individuals for Soka Gakkai International Australia, a not for profit Buddhist organisation devoted to contributing to these three fields through dialogue and humanistic activity. I am currently serving on the Together 4 Hope suicide prevention committee in the Cumberland LGA.My previous roles in SGIA include General Director and General Manager during which I coordinated the acquisition and development of our community centre in Victoria. In addition I implemented our strategy to grow and organise out activities in a more egalitarian and dynamic way as part of a dedicated national leadership team. I served on the Board of Directors during those years from 2005-2014 until the end of my tenure. Included in that role, and my previous and current roles over 34 years, I conduct lectures, engage with one to one dialogues for personal development and run meetings and plan and support conferences for SGIA.Earlier I managed two of the countries leading arts ensembles Synergy Percussion and Taikoz for 9 years, seeing them grow four fold during that period. My room included working with the artistic directors to develop and implement their strategies and planning for tours and concerts, fund raising, and acquisition of funding from government and other institutions, event organising, overseeing marketing and publicity, organising and managing overseas and national tours, reporting to funding bodies and the board and running the office.
