Oversaw the management and improvements of the properties, grounds and infrastructure of Canada’s six Official Residences (OR) in the National Capital Region, as well as providing leadership, direction, strategic and tactical advice for the planning, management and delivery of complex multi-million dollar, multi-year special projects involving significant heritage properties with a high degree of complexity, risk, and public interest. Responsible for all operations and activities in Europe, including delivering numerous commemorative events and managing an extensive inventory of assets and 14 memorial sites in 3 countries welcoming more than 1 million visitors a year. Based on Cabinet direction and Government announcements, established, updated and implemented annual operations and maintenance plans, prioritized and managed investments across a diverse portfolio of assets and constructed the new visitor centre at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial. Managed 65 full time resources located in 4 countries and an annual budget of over $7M. Managed the Student Guide Program in France, hiring more than 150 university students, giving them the opportunity to work and live in France, providing interpretive information to the public and dignitaries at two national historic sites. Managed a diverse portfolio of assets which featured 14 commemorative sites, including 2 national historic sites of Canada, nine buildings, 14 vehicles, historic artifacts, various maintenance equipment and machinery and 750 head of sheep. Hosted world leaders including Prime Minster Trudeau, Governor General Johnson, former Governors General Jean and Clarkson, Président Hollande, Princes Charles, William and Harry and the King of Belgium.
