Supervise integration of ecosystem services as an vital component of DU's conservation programs. Provide regional and national leadership in ecosystem services by promoting the ecological goods and services of wetlands and associated habitats, innovate market-based solutions to environmental crises, and implement strategic business planning strategies to improve corporate efficiency and bench-marking processes. Lead a diverse team focused on wetland mitigation, carbon trading, water quality (pollution) trading, water resource management, and conservation species banking.

Supervised development of several ecosystem service market programs including wetland mitigation, carbon offset trading, and river augmentation trading. Developed business plans to increase efficiency and encourage investment in programs. Supervised development of several wetland mitigation projects secured under DU's North Dakota Aquatic Resources In-lieu Fee mitigation program. Assisted with delivery of the world's first certified carbon offset trade derived from Avoided Conversion of Grasslands and Shrublands in North Dakota. Continued to develop river augmentation programs based on artificial aquifer recharge provide through wetlands. Successfully authored and provided technical lead for new legislation in Colorado fostering flexible water market trading (HB16-1228).

Responsible for conservation program development and management throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Programs include land protection, wetland restoration, public policy, land management, and fundraising.
