As a Purchasing Executive within the Purchasing Team at Techbuyer I help organisations get value from their used IT equipment by offering the best market prices and trade-in values for their used servers, storage and network equipment. Techbuyer is a global leader in the buying, refurbishing and selling of data centre equipment, buying and selling over one million products worldwide in the past year, as well as helping organisations secure their networks through tailored IT security and data backup solutions from leading providers.The key responsibilities of my role are proactively seeking out new suppliers for the company , revaluating used IT assets to maximise the return for our clients and liaising with clients on a daily basis to keep them fully informed. At Techbuyer we quote promptly, make fast payments and perform many value-added services such as same day collection and data wiping, requiring me to be knowledgeable, organised and proactive in order to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. The Purchasing Team often works hand in hand with the Sales Team, allowing customers to upgrade their existing hardware at a hugely reduced cost whilst also generating funds by selling us their old parts.Last year the Purchasing Team helped boost Techbuyer’s global stock inventory to over 225,000 parts worldwide, during which time we have also become IASME certified and achieved both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditations.
