About Greg Klima, Cfm
In my 25+ year career I have worked in a variety of positions and built a diverse mix of technical ability and experience. I have managed single facilities as large as 2.5 million square feet and companies with multiple locations in different states. I have managed facilities maintenance crews as large as 107 direct employees and contractor and subcontractor crews much larger. As my career has progressed my job has included managing capital projects, facility and equipment improvements and acquisitions, material and labor cost savings, safety and environmental compliance and management. I have certification as a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) from IFMA. I have an extensive quality education including the Crosby College and am a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. As my job took on more environmental compliance responsibilities I completed my master's degree in Environmental Engineering. In my job today I put a special emphasis on safety and environmental management. I believe that by applying the same engineering methodology we have used in maintenance for years we can manage these fields and prevent serious injuries and environmental exposures. As my career has progressed through the textile, food and beverage, metal working, electronics, biomedical and now public service fields. I have seen the growth of ever increasing regulatory compliance and an ever growing cost of quality, but the pathway to success is the same. We must know our processes, our equipment, and our employees and continually improve all three to eliminate variation from our goals.
