I have explored for and evaluated base and precious metal mineral deposits for 35 years. In my most recent role, as Vice President of Exploration at First Majestic Silver Corp. for three years, I was responsible for resource delineation, near mine, brownfield and greenfield drilling, and project generation, leading a team of 40 geologists in Mexico and the United States. Before joining First Majestic I was a Principal Geologist at Wood PLC (formerly AMEC FosterWheeler) for 13 years, where, as a project manager and geology lead, I led and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams on due diligence reviews, resource estimations, preliminary economic assessments, prefeasibility, and feasibility studies. In this role I was also the Qualified Person responsible for geology, data verification, and resource estimates for many NI 43-101 compliant Technical Reports. Before joining Wood, I was a project geologist at Phelps Dodge Canada Limited for five years and at Fox Geological Services Inc. for 13 years. During that time, I developed ideas for and led and assisted greenfield reconnaissance and drilling exploration programs.Through my career I have managed drill programs in excess 200,000 metres per year and have led and assisted in approximately 25 early-stage drill programs. While at Wood I developed project management skills and strong understanding of database quality assurance and quality control, resource estimation, and the underlying principals of NI 43-101. I have explored porphyry, epithermal, IOCG, Carlin, CRD, VMS, skarn and sediment hosted deposits from early to advanced stage of exploration, and at operating mines in 11 countries.
