Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area

Oversee the Stewardship and Development initiatives of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, comprised of 95 parishes and 5 centers of campus ministry. Provide strategic direction to parish pastoral leaders in the planning and execution of Diocesan development programs such as the Bishop's Annual Appeal, Capital Campaigns, Offertory Programs and Endowment Campaigns.Create and implement a major gift program for the Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral, currently under construction and slated to be completed in the Fall of 2017. This initiative will address current and future funding needs of the Cathedral. Participate in the strategic planning and management efforts of the development department, providing input on the creation and execution of strategies in the areas of Parish Communications, Bishop's Annual Appeal, School Development and Training of development staff.Oversee the management of the Office of Stewardship and Advancement.

Provide strategic direction to parish pastoral leaders in the planning and execution of Archdiocesan development programs such as the Archbishop's Annual Appeal, Capital Campaigns and Endowment Campaigns.Member of the leadership team responsible for the planning and implementation of the Embracing Our Mission - Shaping Our Future capital campaign which has a minimum goal of $100 million and surpassed the goal in December 2013.Manage a portfolio of leadership gift prospects, which has resulted in over $14 million in commitments.Participate in the strategic planning and management efforts of the development department, providing input on the creation and execution of strategies in the areas of Parish Communications, Archbishop's Annual Appeal, School Development and Training of development staff.

Directed the annual direct mail program for 200,000 house donors and acquisition names including drafting of solication letters, insuring timely mailings, planning successful appeals, and writing the monthly acknowledgement letters.Managed day to day operations including: supersivion of 11 employees, responsibility of the 1.8 million dollar budget and maintaining the physical plant.Coordinated, Drafted and Implemented the Strategic Plan for the Foundation's Planned Giving and Major Gifts Program. The goal of which was to advance the support of missionary work in Africa, South America and the Philippines in the areas of education, food and helping those most in need. Solicited Major Gifts of $25,000 and higher for missionary work of the foundation and outreach to the poor in over 30 states raising over $500,000 annually for those initiatives.

Directed the annual giving program for alumni, board members, present parents, past parents and friends including: drafting of solicitation letters and brochures; ensuring timely mailings; planning successful phonathons and following through with "thank you" letters and pledge reminders.Organized and Coordinated, along with volunteers, the annual Grand Celebration: a silent and live auction, dinner and raffle raising net revenue of over $200,000.Developed Annual Giving groups for the annual fund and coordination of all school wide development efforts increasing the amount of money raised in annual development income from $220,000 to $750,000.Created strong, effective alumni programs and activitites that positively involve the alumni in the school community.Organized and Administered major alumni fund-raisers and alumni events including: Homecoming, Reunions, Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament, Golf tournaments and Hall of Fame Ceremony.
