Energy consultancy formed to assist energy marketers with various aspects of their energy operations. Focus includes providing of market information with an emphasis on assisting marketers to better understand volatile market pricing, identification of best practices to ensure success in the energy transition, special projects, and management training/mentoring.

Worked alongside internal teams and customers to identify opportunities to connect end customers with suppliers of commodities through technology. Technology has made the transaction process more efficient, facilitating increased and more effective communication between end customers and suppliers. Key achievements:• Led development of Petroleum Exchange Network (PXN360), a technology solution for suppliers and customers to connect and transact gasoline, diesel, propane, and lubricants quickly and efficiently. Partnered with technology development team to reach objectives.• Conceptualized strategy to introduce PXN360 to suppliers and end customers, highlighting usage of technology for an efficient transaction process, and subsequently communicated regularly with suppliers and end customers to ensure PXN360 was working effectively.

Responsible for the strategic marketing of the retail petroleum fuels (gasoline, diesel), propane, lubricants, and future fuels business. I oversaw and supported an exceptional team of over 200 people across Western Canada. I ensured completion of comprehensive annual sales, margin, and expense budgets targeting growth and prudent financial management and regular review throughout the fiscal year of results realized as compared to budget. Collaborated with numerous cross functional teams to design and introduce new programs in areas such as Indigenous engagement, active risk management, marketing, and employee development.Key achievements:• Enabled sales and market share growth as well as record levels of earnings.• Encouraged a customer-oriented approach to operations, resulting in development of numerous marketing programs to differentiate Co-op from competitors, contributing to Co-op attaining industry leading petroleum market share.• Drafted new energy facility development plan, translating to better geographic presence, sales increase, and more efficient operations.• Initiated and led introduction of innovative new fuel offers, including renewable diesel, high ethanol content gasoline, and electric vehicle charging stations.

Led the development and implementation of the strategic marketing direction for Co-op’s retail petroleum fuels (gasoline, diesel), propane (first 9 years in role), lubricants, and future fuels business. I managed the energy team members, and, for the first nine years, a petroleum facilities team responsible for construction of petroleum facilities and delivery units. Focused on the development of comprehensive annual sales, margin, and expense budgets and subsequently ensured budgeted results were realized.Key achievements:• Doubled sales and simultaneously increased market share every year.• Directed design and development of new retail locations to improve customer experience and operate more efficiently.• Led construction projects as large as $190M petroleum product rail terminal near Calgary, allowing for Co-op to increase geographic presence and improve efficiency of product distribution.• Collaborated with numerous cross functional teams, delivering various corporate initiatives to improve long term performance.• Under my leadership the department scored over 80% in last employee engagement survey, with employees providing positive feedback regarding their relationship with colleagues and department team leaders.
