In today's digital world, it should be easy to figure out how much healthcare costs. Being able to understand the cost of a medication being prescribed or how much a visit to your cardiologist costs, before you even pick up or walk through the door. Here at UnitedHealthcare we created an interoperability system that integrates into Electronic Medical Records to allow those very things to be real. Working with providers, C-suite executives on bringing this interoperability system to life and create a better workflow between insurance and a provider. Currently I work with c-suite or clinic administrators to understand how to utilize the interoperability system, work to get it integrated within their systems, and then coach them on how to continue to use it and better their patients and staff.

Ever think about how exciting it could be to learn about healthcare and the different types of plans out there? Each day I would find ways to get people excited to hear about healthcare and the options UHC brought to the table. Crate events like bingo, farmer markets, arts and craft events, etc...to grab the attention of those within the community to learn more about their options. Instead of making it all about a transaction and being felt as a "number" I helped them have some laughs, win some prizes, and learn some things about different kinds of insurance. Travel from county to county helping those eligible for Medicaid and Medicare and let them know about the benefits all while creating at atmosphere of fun and excitement.

Help them find food, housing, providers, medications, etc to bring a little relief for them, even for just a couple of minutes. Would do home visits, hospital visits, work with providers on creating a health plan to get them back on their feet.
