Major career achievements innovating in the field of agricultural formulation and adjuvant technology include the delivery of new, patented, or protected products generating cumulative revenues in the region of several hundred million dollars over the past 20 years. This was supported by broad technical engagement with customers that enhanced my employer's reputation as a market-leading innovator and resulted in the issue of multiple patents around the world naming myself as the sole or a contributing inventor. Well-received podium presentations and invited speaking engagements at industry technical symposia reinforced technical credibility along with the regular delivery of high quality industry publications across a broad range of relevant subjects covering formulation technology, regulatory policies, application technology, and biological performance. I have successfully organized and chaired several Symposia and panel discussions in addition to being a frequent speaker at ASTM, CPDA, ISAA, JAFAS, North Central Weed Science Society, and related scientific forums or events. An underlying component critical to my success has been the ability to synthesize an accurate and coherent vision of the increasingly complex global market and translate it into opportunities to generate and capture value. In this regard, my focus has remained on new product and technology innovation (increasingly through external partnerships) in agricultural formulants, adjuvants, and delivery systems. More recently this has advanced to incorporate sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals as the underlying foundation for creating more effective innovation strategies to support both conventional chemical and biotechnological solutions (proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids).I am currently a Board Member at the Council of Producers and Distributors of Agrochemicals (CPDA) and a member of the Adjuvants & Inerts Committee. Historically, I was a founding member and past Executive Committee member of the Joint Inerts Task Force (JITF) as well as having been a founding member of the Surfactants Task Force (STF) and a driver for the preservation of Inert Ingredient Data Rights. My technical and regulatory insight has guided the successful introduction of many new food use inert ingredients with a critical underlying skill, contributing significantly to my success, being the capacity to collect and transfer critical experiential learning to enhance team skills and develop others as technical and business leaders.
