I'm certified in EpicCare Inpatient Procedure Orders and currently working as an analyst on the Parkview Health Epic Inpatient Orders Team. I work primarily with orders and order sets for physicians in the electronic health record system. I plan to travel back to the Epic Intergalactic Headquarters for Reporting Workbench and Radar certifications in the spring of 2015, followed closely with Decision Support and possibly ASAP certifications.

I started working as a field paramedic for American Medical Response (contracted by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority) in June of 2005. I was eager to learn a new trade and cross-trained in the communications center in 2008. I have worked as a system status controller and emergency medical dispatcher since 2008. I have also been certified by the National Academy of Emergency Dispatch as an EMDQ to provide medical dispatch protocol quality assurance. July 1, 2009, Paramedics Plus took over as the ambulance contractor and I have worked for them since. I was promoted in 2010 to the role of Communications Team Leader.

I was the on-site IT administrator for the TRAA Operations Division, Paramedics Plus Fort Wayne for about 18 months.I worked full-time in the TRAA control center until March of 2013 when I was promoted to IT Administrator. My time provided me hands-on experience working with a broad variety of hardware. Some examples are: IBM servers, Lenovo and HP desktops and laptops, OEM Micro Solutions Mobile Tactical Computers, Panasonic CF-19 Toughbook tablets, and InMotion Technology oMG1000 modems. I have been exposed to multiple operating systems including Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Linux, Windows Mobile, Android, and iOS. I have also worked with a range of software as follows: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook; Crystal Reports; SQL; Health EMS Mobile; MARVLIS Client; TriTech VisiCAD; LANDesk Antivirus; Malwarebytes; Spybot; Active Disc Imaging; and Log Me In.

I started in pharmacy then transitioned to a supervisor position for the retail end of the 'front store'. I worked with a very talented group in Terre Haute, IN, from August 2000 until May 2003. I then transferred to Fort Wayne in May of 2003 so I could be with family while I finished school.
