As a Post-Adoption Support Specialist I work to bring hope and strength to parents who are raising children with histories of trauma. Four years ago I discovered that traditional parenting does not work for children with trauma histories and immersed myself in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI); completing the work to become a TBRI Practitioner in April 2019. As a speaker with over 30 year experience I not only train and resource those caring for children/teens, but I also find great joy as a Parent Coach equipping them to offer a healing environment for those in their care. I have written curriculum for teens, college students, parents and professionals empowering them to discover their strengths and find hopeful paths for their future. As a Pastor I nurtured and encouraged people to rise up and make the world a better place, I continue that mission now and into the future.
