Collaborates with fellow Directors to set goals for Miranda RSL Club; to oversee the plans of managers for the acquisition and organisation of financial and human resources; reviews the progress of the Club towards achieving its goals. Greg is a member of the Membership Subcommittee and the Remuneration Subcommittee.

Key dutiesLed a team of IT professionals providing ICT infrastructure administration and operational systems support, data management, physical and electronic records management, general administration, general procurement, facilities maintenance, and security. During this time, Greg has driven MWC’s strategic IT planning, aligning technology outcomes with MWC’s goals and vision. This has included a significant investment in servers across locations on the east and west coast of Australia, spearheading MWC’s involvement in Defence’s Data Asset Register Project trial, collaboration with other Defence units to achieve a common data pipeline and a federation of data lakes across Australia, and facilitating work on MWC’s AI/ML capability and data analytics. Greg is also one of Defence AI/ML points of contact.

Leads a team of experienced and specialised engineers and scientists, as well as administrative and IT personnel, in providing warfighting support for maritime capability through operational analysis, testing and evaluation, performance monitoring, Fleet lessons, and tactical publications. Prepares MWC budget, oversees expenditure and provides governance across MWC activities and information holdings.

Led a team providing records management, general administration, general procurement, and facilities maintenance. Developed/introduced storyboarding for MWC technical reports to enhance understanding of complex capability-testing events.

Led a small professional services team overseeing information security and governance. This included maintaining corporate IT security policies and procedures, and managing business continuity planning. Project managed the implementation of JanusSeal, an information security classification system. Included requirements gathering and business analysis of organisational document and data flows. Project managed the implementation of ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management Systems within the Office.

Led a team of IT professionals providing development, maintenance and support of critical finance, HR, and practice management systems including backend database systems and a data warehouse. Project managed implementation of Data Warehouse (IQ4Biz) and Business Intelligence systems (SSBI, SSRS). Included business analysis of Office’s core business and billing processes and requirements analysis for business reporting. Member of Office Award Negotiation Team, during this time negotiating two Audit Office Employment Awards. Technical lead on the 2010 Information Security Audit of the NSW Public Sector that informed subsequent Government information security policy. Developed corporate Business Enterprise Architecture 2011/12 involving analysis and development of a conceptual blueprint defining the structure and operation of the Office. In 2013 led innovation team that provided recommendations to Executive to improve Office’s public and Parliamentary engagement.

Manager of the Office of Graduate and Community Relations, editor for numerous graduate journals and newsletters, and also delivered high-quality events including the annual weekend-long Alumni festival "Celebrating at Sydney", the University's Easter Show presence, and numerous special one-off events (e.g. banquet for Nick Farr Jones leading Australia to victory in 1991 World Cup)
