As the Assistant Manager of Job Development at Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco (ECS), I lead a team of workforce developers who provide job readiness education, barrier removal, and employment services to people from vulnerable populations, such as those experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance use disorders. We partner with employers, community organizations, and government agencies to create and maintain employment opportunities for our participants, and to advocate for their rights and needs in the labor market.My passion for workforce development stems from my education background in political science, which exposed me to the complex and interrelated issues of social justice, economic inequality, and human dignity. I graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, where I also studied abroad at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and learned about the political and social dynamics of Latin America. My core competencies include program design, workforce development, and nonprofit management which I apply to create and implement effective and innovative solutions for our participants and community partners.
