First Chief of Staff for an organization specializing in advising foreign militaries. Duties include guiding and directing operations, human resource, and logistics sections to provide small teams to deploy and advise foreign militaries. As a new organization, I ensured the development of policy and procedure that had not otherwise existed. This organization requires high physical, job performance and behavioral standards. I was selected not only for my high-performance record, but my proven performance advising a foreign military. During this time, I was selected as an operations analyst to provide the national guard response to the state of Indiana’s COVID 19 plan. In coordination with state agencies, my team applied national guard assets that alleviated the burden on Indiana’s medical and logistic infrastructure.

Chief of Staff for a 34,000-acre military base with over two hundred employees. During 2018, I ensured the base was fully prepared to be active and prepare to prepare units for combat operations in a very short period of time. I ensured all directorates were properly resourced and synchronized to prepare. The base had successfully prepared for a validation exercise at the time of my transfer.

I co-led a multinational team through cultural and professional differences and successfully increased the capabilities of the Afghan Forces. I assisted my advisee, an Afghan commanding general, in transitioning strategic requirements directly from the Afghan President to actions that ultimately increased the security of the area. This required not only operational action, but high-level coordination and negotiation to ensure the proper support. I received high praise from foreign and US general officers in written evaluations and was awarded for developing the multinational approach.

Responsible for the personnel readiness of a 7,000-person organization. I developed policy that ensured the regulatory compliance to Army and National Guard standards. I managed a staff of eight Human Resource professionals that ensured the highest amount of readiness. I was transferred from this position due to a short notice deployment requirement to Afghanistan.

Assigned as Director of a 660-person organization. Provided direction and guidance that ensured the readiness of the organization. I successfully shifted the training paradigm to meet emerging requirements. This resulted in the organization being ready and more agile. An indication is the rapid reaction to a severe winter storm that crippled civilian medical transportation. My unit responded with prepared equipment and saved lives by transporting civilians to medical facilities. I was awarded for increasing efficiency and crisis leadership.

Assigned as Operations Manager of 1,200-person organization. Responsible for the daily management of approximately fifty personnel to increase the readiness and efficiency of the organization. I was awarded for increased the manning and training efficiency that resulted in increased readiness for deployment. Simultaneously, I managed one of the largest national guard installations in the nation. My supervisor rated me over twelve of my peers and recommended me for promotion.

I provided oversight and direction of an 8,000-person organization for increased readiness and crisis action planning. I planned and implemented a no notice response force to spring flooding in Indiana as well as a force to the eastern United States for a hurricane response. I was rated one of the top in my peer group and recommended for promotion.

I successfully managed a four-hundred-person organization through a re-structuring that required re-training of personnel and new equipment training. This included the newest equipment in the United States Army. I was transferred to a role of higher responsibility at the end of this assignment.

I was assigned as the human resource officer for the 3,200-person organization. This position included policy and process development that successfully led to the largest deployment of Indiana National Guard since World War 2. While deployed, my duties shifted to the deputy human resource officer for the largest base in Iraq. I designed an accountability process for the more the 35,000 personnel located on the base. I also supervised all awareness campaigns, education centers, and other activities for the personnel. I received an award specifically for my policy and process development that led to such a successful deployment.

I was responsible for the personnel readiness and policy development for a six hundred person organization. This included ensuring soldiers were administratively and medically prepared by requesting and managing the proper resources. I was selected as the human resource management officer for a larger organization deploying to Iraq.

I competed for and was selected over my peers for operations officer/supervisor for a 300-person organization. I developed a training program while supervising twelve personnel to safely increase the personnel and logistic readiness. I was selected for a position with higher responsibility and promotion.

I was selected to be the personal assistant of the top general of the Indiana National Guard due to my accomplishments as a manager (2000-2004). I supported my principal to enable executive level engagements and decision making that was beyond my peers’ experience. I received an award for my diligence and attention to detail that allowed him to successfully carry out his duties.

I was a team member of the Indiana Army National Guard's Human Resource Department. My duties included personnel readiness for deployments, strategic planning, and integration of new systems. I was recommended as an interim operations analyst from January 2005 to March 2005. During this time frame, I was responsible for the Indian National Guard's emergency response to the Indiana government's operations to restore transportation and power after massive ice storm.

I managed organizations from 84 to 130 personnel. During this time, I increased training readiness of both organizations through aggressive but inclusive leadership that empowered junior leaders while I maintained responsibility. This also included leadership in extremely stressful situations. I received two separate awards for my organizations’ accomplishments.

Assigned duties of patrol and investigations. Selected due to attention to detail and communications skills to attend the FBI Crisis Negotiations Course. During my career, I successfully negotiated with many suicidal people out of critical situations. Additionally, I conducted multiple investigations.
