Sports writer/editor 17 years, Founded 4 companies, 3 sports marketing, including nationally known SNI Sports Network. Worked as play-by-play television voice for the St. Louis Blues of the NHL, college football and basketball at the University of Missouri, basketball for St. Louis University, St. Louis U. hockey play-by-play radio-TV, and a year of ESPN College Basketball. Owned the broadcast rights to many teams including the University of Wisconsin, Colorado and created the Big Eight Basketball Tournament Television Network. Owned and produced programs on NBC and CBS Sports including Final Four Pre-Game Show, called "College Basketball Playeof the Year Awards Shows".and "The Skills Challenge" with the PGA on NBC. Owned three sports radio stations in St. Louis and authored 5 St. Louis Sports books about Football Cardinals, Hawks basketball and Cardinals baseball. Created and syndicated national TV syndicated shows, "Hale Irwin's Golf in America", "Billy Packer's College Basketball" weekly show, "This Week in College Football", "The Legend of Notre Dame Football" for NBC, "the PGA Championship Highlights" nightly 1992, "Billy Packer's NCAA Tournament Selection Show" on national radio, St. Louis Cardinals radio network owned three seasons. Inducted into five local and State Halls of Fames, honored by many civic groups for contributions to sports. Have treasured friendships with the greatest names in sports, Bob Costas, Brent Musburger, and scores of players and broadcasters. First show partners were Jack Buck and Lou Brock in 1978. Created many TV specials involving Cardinals, Football Cardinals, and produced "Jack Buck Lifetime" Special. Developed the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame inclusive of all sports covering metro St. Louis and Southern Illinois. Created and operating a major Hall of Fame for all sports in the history of metro St. Louis. Includes displays at our home, the 20,000 seat Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis. Hosting annual Enshrinement ceremonies with upwards of 1,500 fans in attendance, becoming St. Louis' biggest sports night annually. Also am author of five sports books, two about the NBA St. Louis Hawks, one for the Football Cardinals and a baseball book, "The Cardinals of Cooperstown" with Myron Holtzman in 2010 and an updated version in 2014.
