About Greg Marshall
My debut memoir, Leg: The Story of a Limb and the Boy Who Grew from It, comes out June 13 with Abrams Press. A 2020 National Endowment for the Arts fellow in Prose, I’m a copyeditor, proofreader, essayist and journalist with a passion for connecting with people through conversation and collaboration. My work has appeared in The Best American Essays and I've received writing fellowships from MacDowell and Yaddo. I hold an MFA in fiction and screenwriting from the University of Texas at Austin's Michener Center for Writers. A love of storytelling is what connects all the things I've done in my personal and professional life, whether it has been writing a headline for a newspaper article, editing a script, giving feedback in a writing workshop, planning a reading or canvassing for a candidate or cause I believe in.

While a fellow at the Michener Center for Writers, I led a team of volunteer readers and worked with the other editor to put together the University of Texas at Austin's prestigious literary journal, Bat City Review.
