I have experience in the development, implementation and review of high level policy, over a wide range of issues, having worked in Policy and Economics Branch in the Department of Primary Industry and Regional Development (DPIRD), Regional Development (DRD), Regional Development and Lands (RDL), the Regional Policy Unit (RPU) at the Department of Local Government and Regional Development (DLGRD). Beforehand, I also worked in policy in the previous Department of Local Government (DLG), since 1989 as well as the Department of Computing and Information Technology (DOCIT) from 1986 until 1989.I am currently in Strategic Advice, Policy and Planning Division performing part of the analysis of the Regional Investment Blueprints prepared by the regional Development commissions and have provided policy and briefing papers on issues such as:• Decarbonising regional economies, circular economies and the regions, renewable energy• Food issues such as 2030 Vision, National Food Plan, the creation of the AgNorth CRC • National Land Freight Strategy, AusLink, and associated transport issues, and• Issues with other State and Federal agencies that I have provided input into mentioned aboveI have also provided miscellaneous papers for the Regional Development Coordination Group, Regional Development Council, WA Regional Development Trust, Directors General Working Group and SCORD. In addition, I have represented DRD and RDL on a number of committees including the Water Planning SOG Working Group, Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities as well as other ad hoc committees on water and other issues such as Climate Change and Climate Change adaptation strategies developed by NCCARF.
