Responsible for the implementation and management of the sustainability objectives set forth in the Hawai’i Preparatory Academy 2019 Sustainability Plan. Lead the school's commitment to integrate sustainable practices (knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors) into our physical place, educational programs, and organizational culture. Oversee the monitoring and reporting on progress in meeting our Sustainability Goals. Coordinate sustainability councils and actively engage with students, employees, and community as we work to achieve regenerative sustainability.

Collaborate with the Director of Studies and school principals to provide leadership in the design, development and support of the K-12 HPA Capstone program. The HPA senior capstone program represents the pinnacle of learning experiences achieved by the end of 12th grade. Capstones are sustained-inquiry, interdisciplinary projects that serve as a culminating academic and intellectual experience for students. Students are assessed on HPA’s core academic skills of CREATIVITY, COMMUNICATION, COLLABORATION, and CRITICAL THINKING. Capstone courses are distinguished by the extent to which they are driven by student interest, engagement, and design and how they impact their communities.

Taught AP Physics 1, 2 & C, Physics, Robotics, Engineering, Geometry, Algebra I & II, the Art and Science of Surf, and the Sustainability Through Action Capstone.

BIIF Champions 2017

Oversaw the curriculum work of the science department, its budget and members.

Directly supervised a team of 6-9 dorm parents who care for the students in our dorm.

Worked with a small group of teachers to help improve instructional practice through observations, mentoring, feedback and support.
