 Managed prototype build of new products consisting of developing manufacturing process instructions and test procedures, ensuring products are assembled to specifications, Design for Manufacturing feedback and actions taken to Design Engineering and communicate actions to Product Planning to ensure appropriate material actions are taken. Complete product transfers up to the manufacturing facility upon completion of the prototype builds. Developed and implemented Incoming Quality Control Procedures defining internal document record keeping and communication of quality issues back to the suppliers. Managed Document Control which included new part number assignment, creating bills of material, new product releases and ECO's to existing products. Managed seven technicians ensuring all assigned projects were completed and assessing annual performance reviews. Maintained Department of Defense Top Security Government clearance.

 Managed quality system support for specific customers which includes in-process quality, supplier quality, customer complaints, RMA issues, ECO review/sign-off, and customer interface. Drove the implementation of corrective actions as required to address quality issues and yield improvements. Facilitated continuous process improvement activities with the responsibility to coordinate resolution plans and schedules. Managed a six-person quality team which included setting performance goals, writing job descriptions and annual performance reviews.

 Improved product acceptance yields at customer's site by 75% in 6 months and reduced the rate of customer returned product by 60% on a month-to-month basis. Defined and implemented SPC program in each individual process area in manufacturing. Managed a quality team consisting of fifteen inspectors, three auditors, one supervisor, and one engineer which included setting performance goals, writing job descriptions and annual reviews.

 Accelerated pilot production process, streamlining procurement activities through appointed pilot purchasing individuals, resulting in a decrease of the pilot process from seven weeks down to three weeks. Participated in the relocation and transformation from complete internal systems manufacturing to outsourcing subcontract systems manufacturing. Managed two Manufacturing Engineers and the Pilot Production group consisting of one buyer, two test technicians and two assemblers, ensuring all assigned projects were tracked and completed on schedule.

Final Test Manager Managed all aspects of final system integration and test in order to achieve company revenue plans and customer commitments. Provided technical support for system level integration and testing of photo-lithography equipment. Managed a team of twenty seven test technicians which included setting performance goals, writing job descriptions and annual reviews. Senior Manufacturing Engineer As the leader of the production team, responsibilities included teaming with Research and Development group to smooth the transition from development to pilot, and to production. This included writing manufacturing assembly instructions, design of assembly tooling, and advising R & D group on design improvements for manufacturability. Participated in analyzing existing manufacturing processes and determine better processes, equipment, fixturing, etc., to reduce costs and improve efficiency.  Work closely with development engineering, materials, and production groups to identify and resolve product configuration issues.

 Directed activities pertaining to the transfer of new products from San Jose facility to Oregon manufacturing plant. Provided technical guidance and liaison to manufacturing operations, assisting supervisors on new assembly techniques. Ensured the manufacturability of new products and implemented improvements to existing products.
