During my time within the Department of Emergency Medicine at UNC-CH, I progressed from Assistant Professor, to Associate Professor, to Adjunct (full) Professor. Other roles served over my tenure at UNC-CH included the Head of the Division of EMS, creator and Executive Director of the EMS Performance Improvement Center, and the Director of Innovation for the Department of Emergency Medicine.• Served as EMS Medical Director for Orange County, NC, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC-CH), the state of North Carolina, the EMS Performance Improvement Center (EMSPIC), and the National EMS Information System (NEMSIS)• Delivered operational leadership and clinical care within Orange County EMS System, UNC-CH Campus EMS System, the state of North Carolina (via NC Office of EMS), and NC Disaster Response Program.• Designed, developed, and implemented the NC EMS Clinical Protocols (Guidelines) using analytics and performance improvement principles (EMS Toolkits); currently in use in 50% of US states and territories.• Designed, developed, and implemented the Prehospital EMS Information System (PreMIS) within the states of NC, SC, and WV, using a statewide consensus process and 500+ defined discrete data elements.• Participated in the concept and early concepts of the Duke Center for Health Informatics (DCHI) program, a joint venture between Duke and UNC-CH.PRIOR ROLE: Emergency Medicine Chief Resident, Wake Forest University, ACGME approved
