Commissioned originally in May 2007 as a Staff Cadet at QUR via Duntroon having worked my way up to 4 Section, Section Commander with Jacka Coy until resigning in late 2009 to enlist as a CMA with 2HSB. Corporal Medic Operator or Integrated Medic is what I’m typically tasked with 11 Brigade QLD. Spent most of last year away from the family on OP COVID assisting the QPS in remote border control plus hotel quarantine and Domestic Airport entry. I was also part of JTG 629.3 QLD based RRF platoon Over the years I've assisted soldiers in pre-deployment training plus medical admin for OP Anode, Astute, and Bush Fire Assist. Most recently being deployed on OP Resolute JTF639 with a couple of weeks stint as a Patrol Commander on a remote island in the Nthern TS. 2HB RTF Committee President for 2022.Intent long term is to retire into ARES as an Anglican Padre to assist with Mental Health issues from the front line preventatively. -

Product Designer/Sales EngineerConsolidated Plastics And Epoxy (Qld) Pty Ltd Jan 2010 - Sep 2012Mackay, Queensland, AuProjects completed:•Rio Tinto Yarwun design and supply of Barraquad Transportation Doors and Electrical safety doors plus specialised aeration tanks.•Anglo Coal Dawson Wash-plant designed and had installed over 50 complex pump and exciter guards. Also developed an Air Compressor Filter Housing to limit corrosion. Designed Electric Motor Guards for the Bucyrus Dragline at the Dawson Central site.•Blackwater mine worked with BMA and Jett Mining Services on Conveyor guarding, Floc Elbows, Slurry Deflectors and Pump Guards.•Rio Tinto Kestrel and Allied Coal(Hunter) worked with Wash-plant engineers on Pump Guards.•BMA Gregory Mine worked with United Group and Wash-plant Engineers on PUR Elbows, Floc Dam walls, coal deflectors and vacuum pump guards.•Designed and supplied parts to Sugar Mills and Refineries in Bundaberg, Mackay and NSW Sugar. •Developed Insulation Kits for CAT trucks through-out the Bowen Basin, Hunter Valley and WA. Also developed Terminal covers for the latest electric trucks.•Developed and installed DIACON conveyor guarding at NRG power station, Gladstone Port Corp tripper refurbs and Tasman Warajay hatches. “At the Gladstone Power Station, we recently engaged the services of Consolidated Plastics and Epoxy to assist us with the replacement of conveyor guarding at our coal handling facility. The professionalism of the team at Diacon has provided us with guarding which was able to be retrofitted to a 35 year facility. The resulting Diacon guarding not only complies with AS1755, but is lightweight (reducing manual handling risks) and corrosion free. This included a revolutionary low cost, high strength plastic chain for a manual and electronic awning fixture market. Integral to success in this position was the ability to influence local suppliers, as well as international manufactures and internal cross-function teams in as many as three countries, to fulfil client specifications. Implementation was carried out firstly, in the form of a market testing Prototype, followed by the development of production, sales and installation documentation, supported by a ‘Bills of Material’ documentation (using an MRP System), whilst minimising inventory wherever possible. Overseeing numerous projects concurrently, it was essential to display excellent organisational and negotiation skills. -

Trendsetter was recognized on 3 separate occasions in the 90's as being one of the top 400 businesses in Queensland. The company was sold in 2004 which included an office equipment maintenance arm called LaserMaint when mum and dad retired after 30 years of business to the Gold Coast.
