As an owner and Director of Securecom I have a great partners in Chris New and Dave Shennan who have enormous global and local experience in IT and Telecommunications solutions for businesses.Collectively we are leveraging our experience and taking a fresh approach as to how Managed Services are delivered for New Zealand businesses. I have had the privilege of a career, working for, leading, and working with some of the best people in the best businesses that you could possibly imagine. My formative management years were in the Leadership Team of Robinson Industries as a Direct Report to Sir Noel Robinson for six years, in a business that imported, manufactured and exported home appliances. A better grounding in business would be hard to imagine as we had to deal with manufacturing, retail, supply chain, technology, currency, partners, and all of the positive and negative impacts of growth as we grew that business six fold in six years. I got to travel the world, getting a perspective that was unique at the time as to what you needed to do to be truly internationally competitive. There is not a week that has gone by since where I haven't drawn on that experience. At Greenwood Technology we were in effect a start up, creating amongst other things NZ's first ASP (pre-runner to cloud) in New Zealand, working with the true pioneers of Cloud in New Zealand.At Telecom/Gen-i/Spark I had the privilege of playing a key role in creating an ICT industry in NZ, as. along with my peers we brought together Telecom, Gen-I and Computerland at the time, and then more recently becoming more of digital business as we added Revera and CCL into the mix. Prior to that it had been IT or C, not ICT with many of the people that we recruited, trained, partnered, made mistakes with and learned with, now holding significant roles in ICT businesses across Australasia. Now I get to use all of that experience to deliver a fresh approach to Managed Services for our clients at Securecom
