- Provided GIS support for the planning and construction of the Park City Wind and Commonwealth Wind offshore projects in Massachusetts, USA.- Developed a web mapping application in ArcGIS Enterprise/ArcGIS Portal showing wind turbine and cable layouts, sea survey data and bathymetry raster data.- Published dynamic mapping services from registered data stores in an Enterprise Geodatabase, ensuring that the web mapping application is automatically updated with the source data.- Applied a range of raster functions including hillshade, slope and convolution to improve the display of New England Wind's bathymetry survey data.- Procured a range of live web feature services from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) to add value to the New England Wind web mapping application.- Used branch versioning to edit feature classes within an Enterprise Geodatabase and to ensure that all updates were succesfully reconciled and no conflicts occurred with other users in my team.- Created web maps in ArcGIS Pro, configuring symbology, definition queries, pop-ups and zoom levels before publishing, to ensure optimum functioning of the feature services within Portal.- Created FME workbenches to validate incoming survey data and transform the data into the necessary schema for uploading to the Enterprise Geodatabase.

- Working as part of a joint venture between Morgan Sindall, BAM Nuttall and Ferrovial Agroman, providing GIS support to contractors on Phase 1 of High Speed 2. - Used ESRI ArcGIS mapping functions to produce a detailed map series showing the results of archaeological surveys conducted across the route.- Produced FME workbenches to transform environmental survey results into the correct schemas for submission to HS2, ensuring that they meet all requirements and standards set by the client.- Created a dashboard within Portal for ArcGIS, comparing design data and as-built data to accurately show the progress of building works across the route.- Utilised ArcGIS geoprocessing tools to support the No Net Loss in Biodiversity calculation for Phase 1, using GIS to demonstrate the loss/gain of biodiversity across the route.

- Working as part of a team producing a spatial database of access routes from the road network to the railway line for the whole of the UK.- Used a bespoke data capture tool through ArcGIS Online to digitise the routes from high quality aerial imagery and input the necessary attributes.- Ensured all data passed our stringent QA procedure so that it would meet the standards specified by Network Rail.

- Working in a SCRUM environment to enhance Ordnance Survey’s highways data network to allow ingestion from Scotland’s Street Gazetteer.- Developed an FME workbench to validate tabular data from the gazetteer, transform the attributes and geometry into the necessary format and load into the destination oracle spatial relational database schema.- Used a SVN (subversion) control system to work concurrently with colleagues, keep track and merge changes and resolve changes

- Performed detailed analyses of geospatial data along the High Speed 2 Phase 2A route to assess the impact on species populations and protected areas. This was done using ArcGIS tools, python and FME and the results were published in the Environmental Statement and various reports.- Used advanced FME reader and writer functions such as fanouts and dynamic schemas to convert and map excel schemas of ecology field survey results into GIS layers in SDE for submission to HS2.- Wrote Python scripts using the ArcPy module to automate common and repetitive geoprocessing tasks, such as clipping layers of updated environmental survey features to within 50m, 100m and 250m of the HS2 route.- Used a range of advanced FME geometry and attribute handling transformers to process CAD design files and output to GIS layers, complete with relevant attributes and data. These layers were subsequently used to conduct a biodiversity offsetting calculation for the entire Phase 2A route.- Used ArcGIS digitising and editing tools to capture the results of ecological and environmental field surveys along the HS2 route. This included surveys for Phase 1 Habitats as well as species surveys.- Utilised ArcMap mapping and cartography tools with data driven pages to produce a large volume of detailed map books for official publication in the HS2 Environmental Statement, showing environmental constraints along the Phase 2A route.- Assisted in the design of an enterprise-wide spatial relational database for the collection of ecology survey results, relating survey visits to a dataset of survey features.- Published and maintained environmental web services showing environmental data such as designated sites and species records, for the use of everyone working on the HS2 Environmental Statement. This was done using ArcGIS for Server and ArcGIS online.- Prepared GIS data for official submission to HS2, ensuring all data and metadata complied with HS2 standards and the INSPIRE initiative.

- Collaborated on a joint venture between Colas, Volker and AECOM on a major highways contract.- Used MapInfo data editing tools to update and maintain Transport for London’s (TFL) Highways Asset Management System in Central London.- Conducted site visits to collect data and photographs for assets such as lighting posts, road markings and road signs for entry into the Highways Asset Management System.- Submitted asset GIS data to TFL on a daily basis, ensuring all data complied with geometry, metadata and attribute standards.

- Helped the Residential Development team influence property investors and developers by producing engaging and powerful web maps for use in reports and presentations.- Demonstrated the potential of 3D mapping within Knight Frank by producing a 3D web-scene with ArcGIS Pro, showing the total developable space on top of buildings in Mayfair.- Delivered classroom-based GIS training, demonstrating features of ArcGIS Pro and user-friendly web maps and databases.- Automated a site selection process by developing a python tool to measure the compactness of brown-field sites with potential for development.

- Worked within a team of committed and passionate GIS Analysts, providing an in-house GIS consultancy for a range of disciplines across the whole of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), the UK’s largest nature conservation charity.- Assisted in the enormous, inspiring task of delivering a web-based mapping system and relational database for species records and environmental data for the entire organisation, helping with data migration and user support.- Developed a new, streamlined process to produce public-facing bird survey maps, transforming the original, hand-drawn copies into digital maps. This saved time and resources and ultimately had a greater impact to the public audience.- Supported field ecologists by mapping survey results and species distributions, analysing elevation data and satellite imagery and using ArcGIS analysis tools to produce summary reports of survey data.
