Operate combined cycle 2 GE LM6000 PF Gas Turbine packages with IST OTSG boilers and 1 Siemens SST steam turbine. Control room and outside operator duties including, starting, stopping, troubleshooting, sampling, logging and maintaining operation and function of all associated equipment.Operate simple cycle GE LM2500+ DLE, GE Frame 7 and Westinghouse Frame gas turbines and ancillary equipment.

Jber

Alaska’s first ever Landfill Gas to Energy project. -Doyon Utilities allowed me the opportunity to operate and maintain their brand new Landfill Gas Processing Plant, Landfill Gas Power Plant.-Process landfill methane through multi stage blowers and a series of heat exchangers.-Maintain the Gas Processing skid and operate it to maintain constant pressure and flow to the power plant 1 mile away.-At the Power Plant, operate 5 total Jenbacher JGS-420 20 cylinder, dual fuel, 1421 kW, internal combustion engines. Providing 7.1 megawatts of power generation utilizing landfill methane.-Rove each plant and maintain logs, obtain lube oil and gas samples. -Start and stop equipment through GE iFix SCADA program. -Using GE iFix SCADA and Microsoft Excel add in, develop reports and logs for environmental impact, availability and efficiency and energy accounting.-Monitor and maintain engine load and local grid distribution through SCADA. -Coordinate and work with contractors in repairs and maintenance of engines and ancillary equipment.-Implement planned maintenance schedule in Manager Plus software program.-Operate and maintain 3 Caterpillar C175 gen sets that provide 9 Megawatts of back up diesel generation.-An incredible journey with a great company.-Thanks to Western Energy Systems for excellent support for the Jenbacher engines and guidance along the way.

Beluga

-Very fortunate Chugach Electric offered me a temporary summer job during their annual outage at their Beluga Power Plant. -Assist in overhaul maintenance on Unit 7 turbine and associated equipment.-Fly out to the remote plant for week on week off rotations. -Excellent craftsman and millwrights on the project made it an experience to be remembered.

Kuparuk

-Thanks to ASRC Energy I was able to experience the North Slope and work at their Kuparuk CPF 2 location. -Prepare for CPF shutdown and renovations.-Perform flange management to identify and help coordinate expeditious repairs to accommodate minimal downtime of processing facility.-Various training for confined space, hazwoper, LOTO, respirator, energy awareness.-A whole bunch of new faces pulled together for a summer project, handled exceptionally well by great managers. -Thank you John Brearley and Nate Snyder.

Camp Pendleton, California

Journeyman Hovercraft turbine and equipment mechanic.(Deck Mechanic)-Maintain gas turbines and all associated equipment aboard US Navy hovercraft. -Execute at sea missions as the lead mechanic. -Maintain Tf40-b and ETf40-b gas turbine engines for craft propulsion. -MaintainT-62t gas turbine engines for craft electrical system.-Lead crews in repairs and removal of gas turbines and ancillary equipment .-Assist and direct teams in planned maintenance to the engines and transmission system; based on calendar year scheduling and engine operating hours. -Obtain and test lube oil samples.-Obtain fuel samples.-Support amphibious operations, ship to shore movements of marines and equipment. -Lead crews and coordinate with contractors in the overhaul of hovercrafts.

San Diego, California

Gas turbine mechanic aboard USS Vandegrift FFG-48.-Propulsion system monitor. 2 LM2500 Gas turbines, main reduction gear, lube oil purifying system, controllable pitch propeller, low pressure and high pressure air systems, heat exchangers, refrigeration and HVAC systems. -Rove plant, maintain logs, obtain lube oil samples, report record repair system failures.-Perform planned preventative maintenance on LM2500 and ancillary equipment.-Participate in fuel transfers, diesel fuel sampling.-Testing synthetic and mineral oil, jacket water and diesel fuel. -Participate in fire and system causality drills.
