I was honored to manage the Enterprise Cyber Security Department for this large $5 Billion dollar healthcare provider and publicly traded corporation, reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and VP with five Direct Reports including two analysts, two engineers, and one lead engineer. ══ ASSURANCE ══ In addition to managing the daily operations of the Identity and Access Management Program with 8 Direct Reports, I provided security testing to satisfy customers concerns about inhouse applications that were created for use outside of MEDNAX. My strategy was used to incorporate a managed Security Operations Center to perform event monitoring—creating a savings of over $2.1 million dollars annually compared to manning an onsite SOC and employing an additional 21 engineers and analysts to man 24/7/365. I have spent the past 27 years of my life working in Network/Information Security and most recently also added the role of Technical Recruiter. I’m no stranger to stress and perform best when under a deadline. Cyber/Information Security fulfills my need to work diligently on problems that have no immediate resolution but have a huge impact on business.
