In the middle of a global pandemic, I got trained to help people file their Petitions for Expungement or Sealing. The training was remote. So were the chances of the Petitions actually getting filed. So I began showing up at The Daley Center, driving people to get their drug tests at TASC Labs on Clinton, taking the elevator to the 13th floor to have their fee waivers signed-off by a judge. I didn't know it, but I was already doing the job and so when they asked me to apply...I cried. A grown man! Crying! Is there a more beautiful thing? I love this work. I would do this work for free and you know I mean it because I did.
