After joining the Fire Services Commissioner in December 2012, on 1 July 2014 with the creation of Emergency Management Victoria, Greg was appointed to the role of Manager Aviation and Regional Operations. In late 2019, Greg’s role changed to Manager Aviation, Logistics & Resources with portfolio responsibilities for Aviation Operations, Health & Safety, Logistics, Resources, International & Interstate Deployments and the Combined Agencies Operations Group within the Victorian EM sector. With more than 20 years in the transport and logistics industry prior to joining the emergency management sector in a career capacity, Greg held a range of operational line management, safety and project implementation roles across companies such as Brambles, Chubb, Patrick/Asciano and Silk Logistics. Specialising as a Risk Management Practitioner in the transport sector, Greg held senior OH&S, Security and Compliance management roles in land based and maritime transport sectors. Considered to be an industry specialist in dangerous goods compliance, emergency response and incident management, Greg is also an ICAM lead investigator and internal safety management systems auditor.
