I produced the necessary quality and inventory levels consistent with client requirements. Maintained and implemented make-ready information to establish proper start-up procedures and make sure they are being taken. Monitoring production data including quality and downtime using charts and graphs to ensure necessary standards were maintained and/or improved was a regular part of my role. I trained and supervised a crew to work safely and efficiently to make certain consistent and reliable operations were taken in order to produce fiber board.

As a press support I ensure that the Kusters Parallel Press and Refinery stays in running operation as well as running Laboratory tests to insure the grade of the board is up to specifications. That includes many tasks from insuring that the belts, conveyors, motors, vacuums, and much more are in proper running condition. I also assist Millwrights and Electrical Journeymen to prevent / fix any situation where the press might not be running. During the lab tests fiber board needs to be cut into blocks in order to run tests on thicknesses, board density, internal bonds, and emission tests. After a test is completed the information has to be relayed to the press operator in order to make changes as needed to make the intended grade of board.
