Design Engineer
Current• Leading RCA team to improve manufacturability/reliability of the gimbal assembly (half of the product). Planning and oversight of analysis, testing, and implementation of corrective actions.• Led a validation test campaign for our next gen product including presentations to customers/government. Wrote test procedures and sequencing against the validation test plan.• Completed mechanical and electrical design of a satellite simulator that provides all inputs and outputs from a satellite to 19 variations of our lasercom product. o Designed and built the first prototype under budget, within schedule, and met all requirements o Led the build and tests of the EM, redesigned with lessons learned, wrote the manufacturing instructions, authored customer documentation, handed over to production/procurement teams, and now supporting serial production.• Serving as mentor/key user in the Testing Department for our MES, ERP, PLM, and CAD platforms. • Assisting colleagues with system design, handover to production, and documentation.
