Greg has over 25 years experience in the manufacturing, quality and distribution arena. Starting with Tandy right out of high school, while attending college at night, Greg used his hobbiest experience in electronics to land a bench tech position later moving into quality and engineering management in a major manufacturing environment. After 7 years of progressive advancement within a large corporation, Greg moved to a smaller company in Dallas. The lure by his new boss was the excitement of being a bigger fish in a much smaller pond. In actuality, Greg was able to make things happen within the overall quality of the business and assist in increasing flow and throughput within production. Before a year of service had gone by, Allied Electronics, Inc. was looking for a semiconductor product manager. The well established, mid-sized distributor seemed to be better suited. It was also back in Fort Worth. Over the next 20 years, Greg moved from Product Management to Quality and finally to Operations. With a wide experience level, Greg managed the overall operations of the business internationally, designed and planned two expansions and finally headed up the design and creation of a Phase I, 400,000 square foot greenfield site where the facility stands today.Since the fall of 2006, Greg has successfully opened his own video production business in one of the worst economic climates imaginable. Even so, his client base continues to grow as projects become more varied and complex. Nickell Video has produced simple product and service promos for the web to full length international DVDs.In 2013, Greg had the opportunity to merge his business and video skills into Gemba Academy LLC, the best on-line training source for Lean and Six Sigma. First, designing and building-out a new studio in Keller, Tx., most of the content is shot and edited in the new facility while other filming is done around the world.
