 Design and execute an oil sands infill program in PCCs Mackay river property deploying a mulit- lateral design resulting in significant production increase. Oversee Duvernay property while in a JV with Ovintiv. Evaluate the entire JV land during the partition agreement which was initiated to dissolve the Ovintiv-PetroChina Canada partnership. Oversee Montney property as a minority partner with Shell Canada.

 Regional analysis of the Duvernay play over the entire Duvernay fairway to highlight reservoir characteristic (structure, thickness, maturity, porosity, sweet spot identification) and trends in drilling and completions technology. Presented to CEO and Senior Management as part of Trilogy merging with Paramount. Applying operational excellence in drilling Montney and Duvernay horizontal wells to achieve production targets and maximize operational efficiency.

 Providing leadership and direction to subsurface team as well as other functions involved from selection of a drill location to tie in. Co-ordinate people and resources to deliver an aggressive drilling schedule. Make critical operational decisions with strict financial discipline.  Preparing a full field development plan to optimize full scale development.

 Exploration geologist working on the Duvernay shale resource play.  Critical role in the Duvernay play from planning the first exploration well to full scale development with multi well pads. Characterizing the reservoir by integrating geological, geophysical and petrophysical data. Mapping key stratigraphic zones within the Duvernay to enhance the understanding of the play by utilizing Petrel modeling software. Mapping all up hole formations to identify potential drilling hazards and secondary objectives. Mapping reported H2S to establish a no go zone due to lack of sour infrastructure. Creating 3D petrophysical models to aid in lateral well placement and geosteering with Petrel. Updating reservoir parameters maps (CGR, maturity, porosity, net pay, etc.) based on new Shell well information and competitor data. Critical technical work review to ensure objectives are fully satisfied. Evaluation of logs and subsurface data to choose best location, which will lead to successful long-term performance of the field. Evaluating lateral well placement and completions by plotting in Petrel to identify which stratigraphic zones cause issues for completions. Identify optimal drilling window by integrating petrophysical, completion, and drilling data in Petrel. Map out basement structures through geophysical interpretation. Identify drilling Geohazards utilizing 2D and 3D seismic data. Identify land swap opportunities, and engage with other operators through data trades. Direct supervision of field wellsite geologist and daily operations geology for picking core point and landing points to maximize data gathering and optimize lateral well placement. Designing data pads with micro seismic testing different landing zones, lateral spacing and varying completions based on Petrel modeling. Research and compile H2S bearing zones into required H2S audit documentation. Prepare geological land continuation applications based on subsurface mapping.

 Logging cuttings and core recovered in the WCSB with extensive experience in clastics and carbonates. Multi zone oil and gas wells supervised in central Alberta targeting the Cardium, Upper Mannville, Glauconitic SS and Nordegg formations. Multi zone wells supervised in NW Alberta where Cardium was a secondary target. Extensive successful experience in geo-steering horizontal wells. Primary formations: Cardium, Mannville, Slave Point, Doig, Cadomin, Cadotte, Gething, Charlie Lake, Halfway, Montney and many others. Interpret reservoir potential based on cuttings and core. Over seeing daily drill activity and make suggestions to increase efficiency. Create striplogs of wells drilled. Consult clients on well potential based on field observations. Supervise all aspects of wireline logging operations.

 Evaluate all analytical data from oil sands and conventional cores. Scrutinize oil, water saturation values, porosity and permeability values against core and approve or reject data. Create detailed core logs utilizing PowerCore software. Advise clients on different testing procedures and their limitations. Interpret data to clients by combining analytical data with core interpretations. Suggest viable steam injection zones based on core analysis. Identify low permeability zones that would interfere with steam injection. Identify high grade zones.
