I've led Agile contractor teams at FEMA in data migration, modernization, building reporting systems, and Salesforce implementations, including writing ETL, conducting data analysis, and building a reporting platform including Tableau and Angular. I've conducted in depth analytical work using SQL and python, including geospatial analysis, to build 100+ million record data sets for actuaries to implement Risk Rating 2.0 and improve the National Structure Inventory, as well as high-precision reports for federal audits.I've also served as the lead across projects, considered to be the go-to expert concerning SQL development, data structures, data quality, and data governance.

As a contractor for the U.S. Courts, I was responsible for reviving a data governance project to centralize technical knowledge of data systems, ownership and validation, and eliminated disparate approaches.

I served as university's lead on developing and applying retention and student success data; results were dramatic increases in re-enrollment rates while using fewer resources due to better data quality, faster use of data, a unified understanding of data, and research into student populations.To achieve that end, I integrated data on financial aid, LMS, CRM, academic outcomes, and student timelines in a data warehouse to develop a fuller picture of our students through ETL and Tableau/Business Objects reporting.

At PGCC, I served as the college's data manager for all mandatory reporting, institutional research, and analytics. This included building out the college's processes in a new ERP, creating a data warehouse, building out a longitudinal data set to track all students across 150 attributes, and writing all SQL code and ETL to integrate internal and external sources. I also led college-wide efforts to establish data standards, and improve data integrity, including automated audit reports and working with offices to enforce standards. During my time, I also brought data mining to the college to identify potential graduates and near graduates, resulting in a significant (~10%) increase in the number of graduates.

At AGB, I conducted independent research, building AGB's Postsecondary Education Governance Structures Database, including developing a searchable website for the data and writing a quantitative report on board composition, characteristics, and structure.I also researched and wrote two issues of AGB’s “State Governance Action Report,” the Association's annual analysis of state policy developments affecting governance, and assisted on research projects in consultation with university and foundation presidents and board chairs.
