• Creating and updating flood maps within WA. Duties included:
• Converting raw LIDAR and Raster data into Topologies, Polygons, Polylines and Geodatabases
• Processing using ArcGIS 9.2 and ArcGIS 10, mostly using tools in the 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, Cartography and Conversion extensions
• Using a wide range of custom tools including VBA to process and clean data
• Setting a variety of tolerances and algorithms to automate the cleaning process
• Completing each map to a professional cartographic standard that can then be used when assessing suitable areas for development

• Taking a lead role when surveying large sites for Utility work and construction sites
• Processing a wide variety of data including GPS, CCTV and drainage asset details
• Processing data ready to send to the client using Access, Word, ArcGIS 9.3.1, Trimble Geomatics Office and Mapinfo Professional (including SQL queries and export to CAD)

• This role involved working as part of the digitization team and working on their customized ArcGIS system. Duties included:
• GIS data capture and digitisation using ESRI ArcGIS software: Constructing maps for engineers to use during pipe excavations, updating mastermap data, detecting errors between online and hard copies of maps
