Responsible for Medicaid enrollment and case management for 1000 bed adult detention center for the Classification Department. Provide medicaid enrollment to inmates who are incarcerated as well as inmates upon release. Assist inmates with recent hospitalizations apply for Medicaid coverage. Work in conjunction with Re Entry staff and Budgetary officers on medical service billing issues. Serve and represent facility as the Medicaid Specialist for training, meetings and within community. Other duties assigned include Power Point content producer, COVID 19 essential work and spreadsheet design.

Full time position with daily responsibilities that include but are not limited to conducting comprehensive interviews with applicants to determine eligibility for public assistance programs and services. Routinely exercise a broad-based knowledge of public sector management practices with extensive knowledge of human service processes and a working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing public assistance, public policy and welfare reform. Often conduct brief family therapy, crisis intervention, service referral and collaborate with other agencies in efforts to enable client to obtain self sufficiency. Expected to communicate effectively orally and in writing in all facets of position. Responsible for managing several databases, analyze daily reports and conduct sensitive information searches. Ability to schedule and manage large workloads in a fast paced work environment. Act as an advocate for clients while representing the client in a professional and courteous manner.

Manassas/Woodbridge

Part time position responsible for the screening and monitoring of urine samples from adult probation clients in accordance with HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) program. Routinely maintain the integrity of the testing process and monitor the chain of custody between state and local agencies. Prepare progress reports to be sent to probation officers for review.

Voluntary on call position responsible for the ongoing communication with other team leaders, agency staff and the public regarding emergency shelter and operations management during natural disasters. Maintain a list of volunteer emergency contacts for emergency preparedness and assistance. Oversee emergency shelter operations on an as needed basis. Exercise routine emergency drills and provide relevant information to agency staff and fellow team leaders. Exhibit a working knowledge of emergency management concepts with an emphasis on emergency preparedness.
