Service Department Manager for Flagler Volvo’s full service dealership serving the Tampa Bay area. Flagler is the exclusive Volvo heavy equipment dealership serving the state of Florida. Duties include management of all service department financials and budgeting. The direct Management of two customer service sales representatives, nine field service trucks, six shop technicians, a field service dispatcher and the service department administrative staff. The dealership is engaged in the sales, rental and service of Volvo heavy construction equipment as well as Volvo, Blaw Knox and VT Leeboy Road construction equipment. Service Department activities include performance and administration of warranty and product improvement (recall) work. Quoting, selling, scheduling and performing shop work and field service on customer owned equipment as well as the maintenance and repair of Flagler’s extensive rental fleet including one of the largest fleets of articulated haul trucks in the Southeastern United States..

Manage all day to day operations of busy service department supporting a large equipment dealership engaged in the sales, rental and service of primarily aerial and material handling equipment. Hiring and supervision of up to twenty technicians and transport drivers. Scheduling and assigning shop work and field service for rental and revenue (customer owned) operations. Personally handling all customer service duties including the quoting of all jobs on customer owned equipment from minor repair work to major equipment overhaul and refurbishment. Responsible for the management of all service department financials and budgeting. Oversee processing of shop work orders for customer owned, rental and warranty work.

Hiring and supervising technicians and drivers, assigning jobs, receiving road calls from customers and dispatching Field Service Technicians. Managed all service department expenses (purchase orders). Managed all Service Department work orders, Including quotes and final billing of customer damage and routine service/repair to rental and customer owned equipment as well as in house warranty claims for many equipment manufacturers. Established a proven record for controlling expenses and maximizing warranty recoveries. My duties also included obtaining quotes and contracting outside repairs such as track work, paint and body work, etc. Responsibilities included all parts sourcing and ordering.
