I wear a lot of hats at Newman. It's a great charter school in Mansfield, Texas. Close to home. As Maintenance, I am in charge of setting up the parking lot for drop-offs, classroom setup and cafe setup with respect to extra tables and chairs due to Covid. I also repair and paint as needed, change lights, collect packages, keep track of inventory from textbooks to tissue paper. As the band teacher, I have a small ensemble of 7th through ninth graders that I direct for student assemblies. We meet a few times a week for practice by grade. We also assist with the district Christmas programs.As the Elementary Robotics Coach, I meet weekly with a group of interested students. We cover basic robotics and coding. I schedule zoom meetings with professionals in the areas of robotics and coding to give the students a live perspective of what they can expect if they want a future in the field of robotics.

As the Media Director, I am in charge of the Audio/Video department in my church. I am responsible for the upkeep of the audio, video and computer equipment, as well as having the responsibility of training and placing personnel for each of the stations as needed. I manage the Church server, website and email setup. I am able to troubleshoot any problems that may arise with the audio, video or computer equipment during service. In addition, I have assisted at the district level when there were conferences that required the use of audio/video equipment, and acted as an advisor when questions concerning equipment and computers came up.

As a Tier 2 Customer Service Agent for high speed internet and fiber customers ranging from consumer to enterprise and government business accounts, my responsibilities are to work with helpdesks and household consumers to solve customer issues in a timely fashion. Troubleshooting internet, telephone and cable services on a variety of configurations, quickly and efficiently utilizing proprietary software tools provided by the company. Remote troubleshooting various pc issues, running diagnostic software for phone and television, and setting appointments as necessary for onsite repairs.

As Lead Maintenance I was responsible for general upkeep and maintenance on the properties assigned. I took care of most repairs that were needed on the grounds, including sheet-rock, plumbing, electrical, irrigation and any outside lighting or concrete repairs that may have arisen. I scheduled contractors to facilitate structural, plumbing and AC repairs of the tenants units and for larger plumbing problems such as slab leaks and sewer cleanouts. I was responsible for maintaining the shop and tools necessary to complete the work assigned.

As a furniture repair technician, duties included repair and maintenance of household furniture and home computer systems within the DFW area. Self governed in the keeping of routes and maintaining of photos and reports to be turned in on a daily basis. As a private contractor I was asked to be responsible for maintenance of the company computers and web site for a company I subcontracted with, performing repairs and new computer installs as needed. Furniture repairs ranged from wood, leather, marble to mechanical issues.

Duties included prepress setup and plate making, creation and design of various print jobs from flyers to mailers to large format print items. Assisted with maintenance of the Macs and PC's in the design department and press area and helped extend the existing network to a new section of the building.

I was responsible for a variety of projects ranging from puppets to typesetting books. I worked on ads, workbooks, and photography assignments. My later assignments were to work on special projects and reprints. My final responsibility was for a set of 72 workbooks for first through sixth grades that were destined for private schools throughout Mexico, Peru and Brazil. During my last year I was also the acting technician for the Macintosh computers, maintaining the software and hardware for the equipment in my department. Additional duties, as a member of the Executive Quality Control department, included but were not limited to researching and uploading files and art for the Florida office, preparing print jobs from them for transmitting to the vendors, and checking the print readiness of their projects before going to press.
