Title: Genetic diversity of Escherichia coli in soils and sediments of an agricultural watershed and their spatiotemporal influences on water qualityUsing a microbial source tracking framework, I am setting out to evaluate the contribution of environmentally persistent E. coli on the total load of indicator organisms in surface water monitoring programs. My research required extensive use of molecular biological lab techniques as well as the monitoring, sampling and analysis of soil, surface waters and agricultural tile drainage.
