Work is to include civil site preparation efforts which consist of clearing, grubbing, grading, and building pad preparations. The building itself will be formed of pre-cast concrete panels with architectural features. There will be a hardstand and paving surrounding the building. Open-web joist and deck will form the roof structure. The roofing materials and system will be PVC roofing and SSMR with minor flashing and sheet metal to cap parapet walls. Finishes will be standard in the administrative areas, restrooms, and storage rooms. Other items of importance, although not a major or unique part beyond what is USACE construction standards in new construction are the fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire alarm and other notification systems. This project will be constructed by LEED Silver Standards.Ammunition Supply Point (ASP) – USACE Omaha, Fort Carson, CO Assistant Superintendent March 2020 - September 2020 $18,938,709Project Description: This project constructed a 24,000 SF Ammunition Inspection Repair and Repacking facility, 16,000 SF Ammunition Storehouse, and four 2,240 SF Earth Covered Magazines, and a 12,000 SY Open Storage Area at Fort Carson. Primary facilities included building information systems, lightning protection, HVAC, fire protection and alarm systems, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) connections. Supporting facilities included site development, utilities and connections, lighting, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, information systems, landscaping, and signage. DoD ATFP for Buildings standards were needed. Cyber Security measures were also incorporated into this project. The project was built by LEED Silver standards.
